Unpaid internship at GEOS Montreal

If you are a student looking for North American work experience in  GEOS Language Academy, Montreal, is accepting applications for  internship candidates for a minimum period of 3 months. GEOS Montreal, Language Academy is looking for an intern as Admin Assistant.

The job will consist of supporting the other admin staffs in their job as well as dealing with administrative tasks such as filling and ordering paper, entrying data, ensuring attendance records of our students, purchasing orders for office furniture, and dealing with our homestay families documents. Some more tasks can be asked upon need.

Through this internship, you will have the chance to strengthen your organization skills and have experience with office work. You will have the chance to work in a multicultural and international environment with a nice and friendly atmosphere. You will meet people from all over the world.
 

English or French is required, but candidates do not have to be perfect in either.  Candidates should also be organized, outgoing, and like a fast-paced work environment.

Si vous êtes à la recherche d'une expérience professionnelle nord américaine à l'académie de langues GEOS, nous acceptons en ce moment des candidatures de stagiaires pour une période minimum de trois mois. GEOS Montréal, académie de langues est à la recherche d'un stagiaire en tant que assistant administratif.

Le travail consiste à aider le personnel dans son travail quotidien, à s'occuper de la partie administrative tels que classer des documents, entrer des données, s'assurer de la présence de nos étudiants en remplissant des formulaires de présence, faire des commandes en matériel de bureau, et s'occuper des documents concernant nos familles d'accueil. D'autres responsabilités peuvent être assignées selon le besoin.

Par ce stage, vous aurez la chance de renforcer vos compétences organisationnelles, et d'obtenir de l'expérience dans le travail de bureau. Vous aurez la chance  de travailler dans un environnement multiculturel et international dans une atmosphère très amicale.Vous serez au quotidien avec des personnes venant du  monde entier. 

Les candidats doivent pouvoir parler et écrire anglais ou français sans  maitriser pour autant la langue.  Les  candidats doivent être organisés, avoir une personnalité ouverte et qui peut s'adapter facilement à différent milieux de travail.

Work as a teacher at GEOS Montreal

GEOS Language Academy, Montreal, is a great place to learn English and French. It is also a great place to work and to teach. GEOS offers a very professional working environment, solid administrative support, professional facilities and resources, and training/advancement opportunities. With schools throughout Canada and the USA, GEOS Montreal also offers you the ability to travel and teach throughout our network of English and French schools.

GEOS Montreal's English and French programs are certified by Languages Canada. According to this certification, all of our teachers must be certified by TESL Canada, meaning that they must possess a Bachelor's Degree and a teaching certificate in ESL or FSL from a certified institution.  Or, they must have attended, and be able to document, that their TESL program contained at least 100 hours of theory and 20 hours of practicum.  Unfortunately, teaching experience in another country can not replace these criteria.

You may also certainly drop off your CV in person at the school - we will be happy to greet you - but we are not able to meet individually with potential teachers who do wish to visit.

GEOS Montreal generally has an orientation session for potential teachers once per month. We call in qualified candidates for a short meeting to discuss the school, the company, and current teaching opportunities. After that, we invite teachers for a short 20-minute model lesson, followed by an interview. Although we do receive many resumes from teachers currently living and working in other cities and countries, we are not able to hire directly without this model lesson and face-to-face interview.
