At first, I started my course in GEOS Toronto where I studied a month, made a lot of friends and met Michael & Jasmine – my host family, who helped me very much.Then I moved to GEOS Montreal, no differently, made more friends and lived with the Wellington family.I just can't say which school is better, because both schools are amazing. If you're thinking about studying abroad, your best choice will be GEOS for sure.Your better choice is GEOS Toronto if you like big cities and partying. Je m'apelle Laura Ramirez et j'ai dix-neuf ans. Je suis venue de Colombie à Montréal en Septembre 2012. Je vais vivre à Montréal pour les six prochains mois. Actuellement, j'étudie le français à GEOS Language Academy-Montreal. Aujourd'hui, je suis à niveau 2C.1. Je suis dans les classes de grammaire et de communication. Je développe différentes techniques de grammaire et de prononciation. Durant les trois mois que j'ai étudiés à l'école, j'ai appris non seulement le Français, mais aussi, j'ai appris sur les différentes cultures et j'ai rencontré beaucoup de gens. My name is Icaro, I'm Brazilian. I finished high school and I plan go to the university of medicine.I came to Canada in September with my family to know the country, learn about its culture, explore its nature and also to study English.
My sister Amarilis, my niece Yasmim and I studied English at GEOS Languages Plus from 10/09/12 until 11/01/2013. We loved the course and the school! We met people of various nationalities and thus we learned not only English but also a lot about the culture of other countries, apart from that of Canada – Montreal - Quebec. We had great teachers who were always dynamic and dedicated.
What I liked most was we made friends with students, employees and teacher of GEOS. They are open-minded people, friendly and courteous.Montreal was a lot of fun too. We had many new experiences – we felt, for the first time (and hopefully last) an earthquake!! We appreciated the Canadian food a lot, the poutine, beaver tail, smoked meat…yummy! Here people also enjoy a lot of freedom and security. I love the cultural plurality of this country, the simple way of looking at life…Thank you GEOS. To new friends, a hug.

Je suis Leona de l'Allemagne. Bien que j'ai déjà eu 7 ans de cours de francais en Allemagne, j'ai décide de rafraichir mes connaissances a GEOS Montréal! J'ai passé en totale 6 mois à l'école pendant mon année sabbatique.Le premier mois, le cours m'a aidé beaucoup surtout parce que ma professeur Georgia a pris du temps hors du cours pour corriger ma candidature de stage.Après 6 mois de stage à Montréal je suis revenu a GEOS pour prendre mes 5 mois de cours restants.C'est pourquoi je vous conseille d'étudier à GEOS si vous n'avez pas encore eu beaucoup de cours de français. Parce que en général l'école est bonne; avec la cuisine, la salle de recréation et surtout les activités qui sont offertes pour connaitre mieux vos camarades d'école et la ville de Montréal.Montréal je t'aime!! Le mélange d'Europe et de l'Amérique du nord, le bilinguisme et le multiculturalisme, c'est super!!

J'ai commencé étudier le français à GEOS comme un débutant complet. Quand je suis arrivée ici, je ne comprenais rien. Mais après 4 mois, je peux non seulement comprendre le français, mais avoir une conversation avec les gens. Les professeurs sont très sympathiques et les étudiants viennent de partout dans le monde. C'est très multiculturelle. Non seulement vous apprenez beaucoup de vos enseignants, mais aussi de vos camarades. Il ya aussi de nombreuses activités après l'école. Je m'appelle Thomas Hedley et je suis Canadien de la province du Manitoba. J'ai pris des classes de français pour 15 heures par semaine pour 8 semaines chez Geos.
Avant Geos, j'étudiais le français à l'école secondaire, mais je n'ai jamais appris comment d'avoir un conversation en français. Donc, je suis allé chez Geos avec le but d'améliorer mon abilité de communiquer oralement en français. A la fin, je crois que j'ai accompli cet objectif. C’était a cause des très bons professeurs et les classes chez Geos. Les professeurs nous ont encouragé à participer et parler en français, même si au début ma français était mauvais. Ils m'ont aidé d'acquérir confiance dans ma français. Maintenant, je peux avoir un conversation simple et comprendre ce que les gens me racontent. J'ai beaucoup aimé cette école parce qu'elle a un environnement très relaxe, il y a beaucoup de gens de partout dans le monde, et il y a beaucoup d'activités amusantes après les classes.

Hello, my name is Leonardo and I'm from Venezuela. I arrived in Montreal in July 2012 and I have been in GEOS ever since. I met GEOS because of my brother. He was studying french at the school, meanwhile he was doing a Masters degree. He told me everything about the school and he kind of persuaded me to join. So here I am; it has been 6 incredible months, meeting lots of people from other countries, making friends and having a blast with the teachers and the staff of the school. I have just extended for 6 more months!


Bonjour, mon nom est Léonard et je viens du Venezuela. Je suis arrivé à Montréal en Juillet 2012 et j'ai été dans GEOS depuis. J'ai connu GEOS à cause de mon frère. Il a étudié le français à l'école en même temps quvil faisait une maîtrise. Il m'a tout dit à propos de lvécole et il m'a convainçu de joindre. Me voici donc, ca fait 6 mois incroyables que je suis ici à rencontrer plein de gens d'autres pays, me faire des amis et m'amuser avec les enseignants et le personnel de l'école. Je viens de m'inscrire pour 6 mois de plus!

Mon expérience dans GEOS était incroyable. Mon professeur Stéphane est génial, sa façon d'expliquer et son enthousiasme a facilité les classes.
Le staff est très serviable aussi, chaque fois que j'ai eu un problème, ils m'ont aidé a le resoudre. Mon temps à GEOS m'a permis d’améliorer mon français grandement. J'espère que je pourrai y revenir pour étudier une autre langue.

Bonjour, je m'appelle Lena et je viens de Vienna. J'a déménagé avec ma famille a Montréal. Quand je suis arrivé à Montréal, je ne comprenais rien. J'avais un cours semi-intensive et après 8 semaines je pouvais dire quelque chose en Français.Geos est une l'école professionnelle avec beaucoup de différents course pour chaque niveau. Les professeurs sont très bons et professionnels, et ils ont une bonne méthode pour explique et enseigner. Il y a une règle à l'école, il faut parler seulement Français ou Anglais. C'est très importent pour faire des progrès.
J'ai commence à apprendre rapidement et parler français.Geos propose beaucoup d'activités à Montréal. Il y a beaucoup d'activités gratuites en ville, et nous avons l'information toujours juste à temps tout ce qui se passe ici.
C'est une bonne occasion pour faire des amis. Je reste pendant 36 semaines á l'école et ca me fait plaisir.

We are three sisters from Chihuahua, Mexico. Our names are Keila, Libna, and Ana. This is our first time in Montreal and we are going to study here for 4 months. Libna is studying French and Ana and me are studying English. It is really amazing to know different cultures and ways of thinking. We love our classes at Geos because the teachers are great. They are so pacient and they are always helping us to learn more. Meetings other people from all around the world makes of this experience an unforgettable experience!

Je suis très content de ma experience a GEOS parce que l'école offre une combinaison perfecte entre apprendre une langue et connaître un pays different. Pour moi, a été fantastique pouvoir voyager les weekends d'une forme facile avec l'école et avec les autres éleves: j'ai connu Ottawa, Toronto et Niagara avec un excellente professionnel (Monsieur Marcus Bender) que m'a montré les meilleurs lieus de chaque ville, et je suis sûre que tous mes amis pense la meme chose.
Canada a été toute une aventure pour moi, et voyager avec GEOS a fait ça plus facile et comfortable. Et il y a une autre avantage: étudier dans une école bilingue a été un excelent exercise pour practiquer mon français et pour n'oublier pas mon anglais.

Hi, my name is Marwan. I'm 17 years old. I'm from Saudi Arabia. Today I will talk about my school and my first day at the school. My school is GEOS. It is a good school, and they have good teachers. But on my first day, I was scared. I did not know any one, and it was the first time for me to study outside my country. But now I'm comfortable. I feel it's my second home. They have friendly teachers and employees.
By the way, if you want to study English or French, GEOS is a great place to study both English and French.

l chose a French intensive course at GEOS for 4 weeks to prepare for my study at university. Many people ask me: Why Montréal? I was attracted to Canada since I decided to do a language course because of the two different languages that are spoken there but still form one culture. And I think the best place to experience this is Montréal. There is a lot to discover here and the people are always friendly and open-minded. You're never alone in Montréal. It is so much fun and I enjoy every single moment. Also the classes are a lot of fun. Great teachers and a pleasant ambience make you almost forget that you are at school. Despite 4 years of French at high school I had to start all over again here in Canada but after two weeks at GEOS I speak better French than I ever did before.
I am really looking forward to the next two weeks!

The geos language program was a wonderful experience. I not only improved French but I also gained a new confidence in my ability to express myself in another language. The classes were fun and a nice change from the way I am used to learning in school. I also loved being a part of such an international group. My class was filled with people from all around the world which really enriched my learning experience. The activities everyday in Montreal were also a great part of the program. There was a rich variety of outings, from hiking to museums, which not only were fun but also a nice taste of the culture and life in the city.

My Experience in Montreal, and with the Activities:
The first thing you have to know is, that you have to take a direct flight or just with one stop, which it isn't in the United States, because you need just for this country a special card without you can’t land in the airport. Furthermore, you need lots of time for the control-passing and you have to take new flight tickets. When I finally arrived in Montreal I was very tired and I was so happy that someone from GEOS came and picked me up.
My first day in Montreal started not so very well, because at breakfast, I had just one yoghurt cause of our coordinator, who forgot to buy something to eat. But that was just that one time.The activities were very good, because they were very different. For example, we went kayaking (you are on a boat with paddles), did inline-skating, and sang in a karaoke bar. But you have to climb the mountain of Montreal, where you can see the most buildings in Montreal and you have a great view. For me, Montreal is a great city, where you can walk very often, if you are near Downtown.
Furthermore it has lots of shops, so you should take some money with you. Besides the people in Montreal are very friendly, you can ask them for help.In the end I would like to tell you that it is more fun if you bring your friend with you.In the very end you should bring more money, if you don’t like water, because drinks in Montreal are expensive in long times.

Bonjour, je m'apelle Nadja et je suis allemande. Quand j'ai dit à mes amis je vais aller à Montréal pour étudier le français, tous m’ont demandé Pourquoi Montréal et pas France? Bonne question. Mais honnêtement, c'est le Canada! Je ne regrette pas, Montréal est magnifique! Je n'imaginais pas que la ville de Montréal organise beaucoup des activities gratuitement, spécialement pendant l’été. Ce n’est pas possible de rester un week-end dans la maison, il y a trop des choses à faire sinon vous avez l'impression vous avez manqué quelque chose.
Tout le monde parle aussi anglais, donc ce n'est pas un problème si vous ne parlez pas français. Quand je suis arrivée, je ne pouvais pas parler beaucoup de français. Je me souviens, que dans ma premiére classe je ne comprenais rien et je pensais que j'étais dans le mauvais niveau (maintenant, mon professeur rit quand elle se souvient de comme je lui avais demandé “ou est-ce la classe pour le niveau 1b, A1?”) mais après 8 semaines de cours super intensif je suis capable de parler français beaucoup mieux qu’avant. J’ai remarqué un progrès chaque semaine mais le temps a passé trop vite.
Quitter l'école me rendait triste et c’est la raison pour laquelle je vais rester ici plus de temps!!!!J'aime GEOS beaucoup, toutes les personnes sont très gentilles et m'ont beaucoup aide. J'ai eu de bons professeurs, fait des amis de partout dans le monde et eu beaucoup des bons moments qui je vais me souvenir pour toujours.

PS: On ma dit qu’on est capable de parler français quand c'est possible de parler au téléphone avec une autre person. C’est plus difficile parce-qu’il manque les mains et les expressions du visage pour communiquer. Donc, je suis trés heureuse. Hier c’était ma première grande réussite de conversation au téléphone!!!

Quand je suis arrivée à Montréal, j'avais beaucoup de peur parce que je ne connaissais rien de français, mais j'ai trouvé beaucoup de personnes qui m'ont aidé. Cette expérience est parfaite pour moi car j'ai appris des choses que je n'imaginais pas d'apprendre; j'ai grandi comme personne et j'ai connu beaucoup de personne du monde entier. Studying a language is like a opening a door! Hello everyone! I'm Akiko and I'm from Japan. I have been studying English for about 4 month at GEOS. When I arrived in Montreal, I couldn't speak, and my writing skills were even worse. That being said, I'm sure that I have improved a lot since. I owe this to my language school which is Montreal's branch of GEOS.

Why is this school such a good place to study English for me? First of all, my teachers are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable as well. The atmosphere in the classes is always awesome. I could speak enough, I could laugh, I really felt that it was really interesting. Besides, If I make efforts, the teacher is always there to give me a hand.Secondly, my classmates are really interesting. Since they come from all around the world, we could learn about different cultures`. I was really fascinated when each student made a presentation about their country or culture. Therefore, I study not only English but also various other cultures.

Finally, I think Montreal is a cosmopolitan city with a lot of activity such as the Jazz Festival and the fireworks. Moreover, people here are so nice and so friendly. This is one of the things I like the most about Montreal. I believe that living in Montreal and studying was a very meaningful and unforgettable experience for me.Why not open the door and start exploring?

Salut!Je m'appelle Zach, je viens d'Australie. J'ai déménagé à Montréal en octobre passé. Quand j'y suis arrivé, je ne connais jamais le français. Je parlais seulement l'anglais.Je suis entré ma première classe à l'école GEOS et j'étais stressé, car c'était un cours sans l'anglais. Mais, j'ai commencé à apprendre rapidement et parler seulement en français. Je me souviens de première fois j'ai parlé en français avec un vendeur chez Starbucks. J'étais tellement content.C'est sûr je faisais beaucoup de progrès. Je ne suis pas parfait. Mais maintenant, à grâce de mes professeurs je peux parler beaucoup de sujets. Je suis très content de mon choix, c'était très bon pour commencer ma vie à Montréal.

Montréal est une très belle ville. Vous pouvez profiter beaucoup de choses. Il y a toujours chose à faire, par exemple les festivals, les activités à l'école, les sports sur Mont Royal, visiter les sites touristiques et voir les bâtiments anciens.

Quand je suis arrivé à Montréal, j’ai commencé à étudier le français seul. Avec beaucoup de travail, j’ai appris un peu de grammaire et le vocabulaire, mais je ne pouvais pas parler français.J’ai décidé de chercher un cours de français. J’ai visité plusieurs autres écoles mais j’aimais GEOS le plus. Les professeurs sont excellents, et il y a beaucoup d’opportunités à pratiquer le français, rencontrer autres personnes et découvrir Montréal. Il y a presque 3 mois que j’étudie à GEOS et je suis certaine que j’ai appris beaucoup et maintenant, je peux parler français avec mes amis!

Salut. Je m'appelle Vineet. J'ai 23 ans, et je viens de l'Inde. J'ai arrivé à Montréal en Novembre surtout pour apprendre et améliorer mon français. J'ai commencé à apprendre la langue à GEOS le lundi passe. Je trouve les personnels (surtout Bill), les professeurs et les étudiants amiables. Les professeurs qui ne m'enseigne pas sont aussi amiable. Quand j'ai des questions ou quand je suis confuse, je peux demander à mes professeurs. Mes amis dans ma classe sont serviable aussi, et ils m'aident quand je ne comprends pas quelque chose. Après quelques jours de cours je pense que mon francais est déjà améliore. Tout est en français et tout le monde parle français, donc nous n'avons pas le choix mais a apprendre; c'est très bon pour nous.
Montréal est une grande cité avec des activités pour tout le monde. Si vous êtes intéressé à quelque chose, vous pouvez le trouvez dans cette cité. Le transport public est très efficace, et avec la carte de métro Opus, vous pouvez vous déplacez facilement. En général, les personnes dans ce pays sont poli, serviable, et tolérant. Il y a beaucoup de variétés de nourriture, de spectacles à voir (des musées, des églises, des marchés, des rues, des parcs…) et des activités extrascolaires que Athena nous organise. J'espère que je vais continuer à m’amuser à l’école et avec tous les choses qu’elle offre et que cette cité offre.

Salut, my name is Matthieu and I’m from France.
I’ve chose GEOS Montreal because of the internship program and intensive English course.
I believe that it was the best way for me to settle down in Montreal. In fact I immigrated in Canada, therefore I felt myself more comfortable using a language school to start my new life. This program not only allowed me to improve my English, but also to start to work in a Canadian environment, which is very different from France. I’ve learnt how to write a CV into a Canadian style and also how to proceed with a face to face or phone job interview.
Even if I’ve previously studied English in 2 other schools, I’ve to admit that Geos is one of the best I’ve ever had. Teachers are outstanding with this friendly behavior that characterized the Canadians.
You might certainly wonder why I chose Montreal instead of an English city. The answer is as simple as this; it was the easiest way to obtain my immigration papers.
Enough about me, Montreal is a beautiful city, where there is always somewhere to go or something to do. If you’re lost, don’t be afraid if a citizen comes to help you out, he or she won’t assault you. It is a clean and safe town, with a wide variety of transportation to visit the town and its suburbs.
Geos is pretty well located, the activities are awesome, and you’ll never get bored, also if you’re a French native speaker (like me) students who learn French (québécois) will always ask you, do you guys say it like this? We have so much fun!
Another cool thing, as a French, is that you won’t be alone, plenty of French live here and most of the people are bilingual.

When I first decide to study abroad, Canada was the country that I really wanted to know, and have decided to come to Montreal was the best choice that I could have made.
The city is beautiful, charming and full of culture and friendly people. I arrived on June, so I was able to see all the festivals that happened during this period, everything was amazing.
I’m very happy to have chosen Geos as well; the school is well prepared to receive the students from different nationalities and culture. The classes are awesome; you can learn English in a very dynamic way, everything is well structured, I loved it. I feel much more confident in the main skills, writing and specially, speaking.

Les cours sont adaptés à vos étudiants de niveau peuvent apprendre à leur propre vitesse. Tu peux t’amuser et apprendre la langue de ton choix, j’ai choisi le français premier, puis je vais étudier l'anglais, plu tard et lancer le programme Stage d'expérience de travail.

Well it’s quite hard to put into words an experience you cannot put into words.
I guess the first question which will come up in your head is why a French girl chose Montreal to improve her English and not a "pure English city"! Here we are!
I cannot deny that the main reason was due to my fear of being lost in a country where I couldn't even order something to eat. Besides, coming to Montreal was a real choice that I don’t regret at all!
I was pretty positive, but I couldn't imagine that it’ll be that amazing. I felt in love with the kindness of Montreal inhabitants, the dynamic of the city and it stands to reason that the multiculturalism is impressive. I mean there is no way to get bored, either during the summer or in the winter, there are lots of activities that you have the opportunity to do.

 

Now you arrive alone, your fears of being lost and getting bored are at their peak, you chose the right school to avoid all these things.
Actually Geos is not only a Language Academy, it’s more than that.
This school will help you from your arrival to your departure to make this unique experience unforgettable.
I should be able to share what it brings into my life, but I’m unable to count all the new friends I have from all over the world, I’m unable to name all the places I’ve discovered and how many activities I've done. Take it from me, it has also helped me building my personality and it goes without saying that my English improved spectacularly. I told you at the beginning that I was scared about being lost in an English city and after 3 months at Geos, it has become as a walk in a park. I didn't say that it'd be easy but I just promise that it would be worth it.
Challenges are what make life interesting but overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

I will be studying at Geos until January and I can just tell you that the program, style, structure, the teachers and the staff at Geos are perfect.

Je m’appelle Danelis, Je viens de la République Dominicaine. Je suis à Geos depuis 7 mois, mon expérience a été tellement agréable que je pense à Geos comme ma deuxième maison.

 

Quand je suis arrivée ici je ne pouvais rien dire en français pourtant j’appris beaucoup grâce à ses excellents professeurs. En plus j’ai amélioré mon anglais.

 

L’ambiance à Geos est Super, les professeurs sont sympas, les étudiants amicaux, et le personnel administrative est toujours disposé à nous aider.

 

Mais tu ne dois pas me croire, tu dois venir et le savoir par toi-même.

J'ai déménagé à Montréal, de New York, en Janvier. J'ai étudié le français à temps plein à Geos pour mon premier 4 mois à Montréal. Les enseignants de Geos sont très chaleureux, serviable et encourageant. En mai, j'ai commencé un stage. Le personnel de Geos savais que j'étais à la recherche d'un emploi permanent à Montréal, alors ils m'ont trouvé un stage en anglais. J'ai fait un stage de 4 mois et ont été depuis travaillant pour la même entreprise à temps plein. Je suis très reconnaissant que Geos a pu me trouver un travail que j'aime, dans le domaine que j'ai demandé. J'ai postulé pour mon résidence au Québec, et le plan de son vivre indéfiniment. Geos a été un excellent endroit pour commencer ma nouvelle aventure ici, au Canada.

Avant de venir à Montréal, je ne savais pas du tout le français. J'ai commencé à apprendre ici et merci aux enseignants étonnant ici j'apprends le français plus rapidement et mieux que je pensais. Je tiens à les remercier tous pour leur aide.

My name is Pablo, I am from the south of Spain, Seville. I came to Montreal for ten intensive weeks. I was looking for the chance to improve my English skills and also improve my French level at the same time. I wanted to know Canadian culture and enjoy my summer after a hard year studying at high school. That is why I chose Montreal as my destiny. This city, the biggest bilingual one in the world, makes possible everything I really wanted to do. Not only choosing a wonderful city to enjoy the summer is decisive, but also it's important the fact of being worried about where to study and improve your languages skills. That is definitely why I chose GEOS Montreal.

 

Leaving home, the possibility of feeling alone abroad or missing friends and family can be your concern before coming here. They were also mine. I thought that it was going to be difficult at the beginning, that perhaps nobody of my age would be there, etc. But don't worry. All these worries last less than one day. The first day at GEOS is more than “le premier jour là”, you start doing your placement test, orientation session, meeting GEOS staffs and all the students who came to Montreal to study and have fun, like you. Don't forget that is not just your first day at the school, you will meet people in the same situation as you. Believe me when I say that there is no better way to be welcome.

 

I have been travelling since I was 12 years old to learn English around the world, but this is the first time I can really feel that I'm at home while I'm abroad. I am so glad I was given an amazing family. My ten weeks in Montreal were the best ever, just because of them. My parents were always taking care of me and my brothers and sisters. I lived with all of them unforgettable experiences. I had relatives from Brazil, South Arabia, Colombia, Italy, etc. Each one changed something in me. They made me be a different and more tolerant person, they taught a lot, not only words from their own languages. I really think that being given the chance to stay during ten weeks here in Montreal, living with people from each corner of the world is absolutely worthy. During these weeks I have been able to do multiple activities, as sharing food from my country and trying tasteful dishes from all over the world, etc. From this summer I've learnt a lot from people that I won't forget ever.

 

For sure I could be talking about my experience in Montreal during hours and hours, but if you think that this can be just dreamt, please come here and try. After your experience here you will understand everything I've been trying to tell you. You'll see!

After my last year's experience with GEOS (I studied here just for a week) I decided to come back for longer. What I like in here so much and what is very different from Luxembourg, where I used to learn French, is the approach to teaching the language and methodology applied. The main focus is put on communication (both oral and written) and that is my aim when it comes to learning a language.

 

Another reason why I am here is my love to Montreal. I absolutely adore the city. Especially during the summer time it gives you lots of possibilities.

In Geos Language Academy, which has provided me with this amazing experience, I could learn and improve my English with great classmates, brilliant teachers and amazing and helpful staffs.

J'ai étudié français seulement pour deux semaines. Mais je peux dire qu'il y avaient assez de temps pour apprende beaucoup. Mais pas seulement sur la langue française, mais aussi sur autres cultures et vie dans Quebec. Mes classes êtaient le fun et dynamiques. J'ai fait beaucoup des amis, dans et dehors de GEOS. Le personnel de l'ecole m'aide chaque fois que j'en avais besoin, et était aussi très amaibles. Concernant mon français, j'avais compression déjà sur le langue et même si je suis restée dans le niveau 1A, j'ai apris beacoup de nouveau grammaire, vocabulaire et le plus important parler. Cette fantastique pour connaître Montreal d'une manière different. Cette ville est très vive dans l'éte, tu a le option de aller à divers festivals, visiter endroits touristique et prends le metro (c'est très facile!!!). Est magique le week-end en Montreal aussi. Je recomend le Tam-Tam dans Mont Royal. Rèellement est une expèrience multiculturel. Je suis hereuse pour avoir cette expérience même que si j'ai resté seulement pour deux semaines et j'espere qu' je peux retourne un jour. Je m'appelle Valérie. Je suis venue à Montréal il n'y a pas longtemps, et je peux vous assurer que ces deux mois étaient certainement inoubliables!
Je suis tombée amoureuse de la langue française depuis longtemps et c'était mon rêve de venir ici pour l'améliorer. Alors, les rêves parfois deviennent réalité.
Ce qui m'a étonnée en premier lieu, c'est le multiculturalisme de Montréal. On peut trouver, dans cette ville féerique,toutes les nationalités, les cultures et les religions du monde. C'est vraiment intéressant d'observer les gens dans la rue, leur façon de s'exprimer (soit vêtements, soit coiffure, soit maquillage ou bien tous ensembles), le mode de vie canadien. La ville offre des milliers d'options pour s'occuper et s'amuser, particulièrement en été. Il y a plein de choses à faire et endroits à visiter.
Juste un petit avertissement: avant de partir de son pays vérifiez que vous êtes capable de supporter le temps montrélais qui change toujours si vite! Parapluie (saison estivale) et anorak (hiver québécois rigoureux) sont le «must»!
Je n'ai aucun regret d'avoir choisi Geos - mes profs sont magnifiques! When I was asked to write a testimonial, I was surprised. I came here and the last day looked so far that you think it will never arrive, but time flies when you enjoy what you are doing!

Since the classes started, I felt so good in this school. The methodology is great. Moreover, the teachers are fantastic because they will always create a dynamic ambience in which you could feel comfortable and interested in the topics chosen.

However, it is not all studying. Amusement is also an important element of traveling and Montreal is an amazing city for it. There are always different activities and shows for all tastes and the school also provides some, plus any kind of information you need. Four months could be a long, long time to spend in a foreign country...however, leaving Rome I couldn't expect anything better than Montreal! Such a different city from what I was used to...So modern, comfortable, young!Everyday there's something different to do, some place to visit and being at GEOS helped me in enjoying this wonderful city and all its "Activities"!Montreal gathers the modernity of skyscrapers with the history of old buildings, the quietude of Mont Royal (a mountain into the city! Let´s do it first talking about the city. Montreal as you know is a perfect bilingual city where you can see a huge diversity of cultures, that make it more interesting. Because as long as you stay here you are going to have a better personal perspective, hearing all the time differents languages in the streets , events, festivals, concerts, so many activities to do here in the four seasons of the year. I can't be specific telling you which one is the best, because no one is boring. Probably you will hear that winter is not the best time to come. They`re wrong is one of the most excited to experience and practice Sports that probably you can not in your hometown or live a real winter as you can do it here.The best thing about Montreal is how safe is the city, you can walk confidently all the time and how well located are the metro and the bus. Montreal is the city where you will always find something different to do or a new place to go.I've been here since august 2010 studying at Geos an English and a French program. To start I can tell you that Geos is a Languages Academy well prepared to receive students from around the World with a good staff, an excellent group of teachers and obviously the atmosphere that the students create is espectacular. During your stay you have the opportunity to share part of you with a lot of kind people and find how interesting is know about different cultures.
I´m sure that I'm not the Only who said that one of the best experiences that I've ever had is being here and Montreal, and choosing Geos like an school.
My english has being improved it, and I'm expecting the same French, until now is going perfect. I met people extremely awesome here, that hardly I will forget them.

When I decided to come to Canada, I was already informed about the sort of program I would do, first period studying and right after working. However, it wasn't my plan to stay longer and carry it out in Québec, where you must “parler français” to work, since I was a beginner in French.I was really concerned about it, that's why I took 17 weeks of French courses in GEOS language academy Montreal, which have totally helped me to improve my grammar, sharpen up my vocabulary and have a normal conversation with a French native speaker.
The next step was to find a job, which could be as simple as working in a store, in a coffee shop, or even in McDonald's. However, what I couldn't imagine was doing an internship in a worldwide company as Rio Tinto.
The internship consisted in working for two month/part-time in a research made in English for the department of Community Relations. There, I could practice my French as well, because all the staff was French speaker and moreover very sympathetic and patient to even correct me and teach me some Quebecois expressions.
The help I had on having the interview and then the job was someone who GEOS put on my way, my homestay mom.
I'm really grateful and thankful for having the opportunity to have lived with such a special family.
Nowadays, I can say that I improved my skills in English, French, or even Quebecois expressions and mainly how to work in an enterprise because, even more surprise: It was the first job of my life!

Ce qui m'a plait le plus à GEOS Montréal, c'était l'atmosphère dans l'école. C'était vraiment facile de faire la connaissance de beaucoup de gens qui venaient de tous ces pays très différents. En plus, on a développé des amitiés qui vont rester, c'est sûr. J'ai vraiment adoré la ville de Montréal, et les activités organisées par l'école m'ont beaucoup aidé de la connaitre mieux. Quand je suis arrivé à Montréal, j'ai découvert la sensation de ne pas avoir mes pieds sur terre toutes en devenant complètement habitué a cette belle ville. Vite passé est mon stage de trois mois ici à Montréal à GEOS Language Academy. Je me souviens très bien de ma première semaine pendant laquelle j'étais complètement perdue faute de ne pas m'être informée assez sur la ville. Grâce à Audrey, Yuly et Sayaka j'ai – thank's God – survécu les premiers temps.D'ailleurs, on doit vraiment remarquer que tout le team de GEOS – soit des profs ou des employées d'administration - étaient prêts à m'aider tous les fois que j'en avais besoin. Merci à tout le monde ! Je veux particulièrement remercier Prochat qui est une prof agissant didactiquement et variant les classes, Prune qui est une prof formidable avec qui on apprend plein de choses, Tania qui a travaillé péniblement pour créer des classes aptes à nos besoins.Puis, n'oublions pas les activités organisées par Marykim lesquelles j'ai vraiment appréciées. Elles étaient toujours pleines des bonnes idées et originales : soient des excursions de la ville, es soirées en sortant ensemble aux différents lieux, des activités du sport, des découvertes de nouveaux films etc.
Tout ensemble je dirais que j'ai beaucoup aimé mon sejour à Montréal, c'est une jolie ville nord-américaine qui offre toujours des activités intéressantes – gardons-nous bien les festivals dans notre cœur !
Bien que j'aimerais rester plus longtemps ici, c'est lamentablement temps de dire adieu !

Bien... c'est difficile de parler des 3 mois que j'ai étudié à Montréal. Je pense que ca a été une expérience très importante et amusante pour moi. J'aime apprendre, mais j'ai découvert que j'aime plus parler et construire les amitiés veritables. Apres 4 mois à GEOS, je peux réfléchir à tout ce que j'ai appris dans ma classe de français et surtout dans l'école. The location is superb, near 2 metro station.The staff of the school is amazing, they never let you in need of anything. Especially Billy, he helped me from before the trip till the last day, showing the best places to go, helping with anything you may need. Always with a great humor.Every week we had the French and English coffee talk with Marikym, she was the glue that binds all the students in one big group, that way all the new students could feel immediately at home.In resume, I'm very happy that I had choose Geos for my French improvement, there is no better school.

Comme je suis caissière, j'y pratique mon français et mon anglais (un grand avantage à Montréal pour ceux qui veulent améliorer ces deux langues). Les personnes avec qui je travaille sont très amicales et m'aident dans ce que j'ai besoin. On y essaie d'offrir toujours un excellent service aux clients et ils nous demandent d'être efficace et de donner un travail vraiment s rieux. Comme je suis venue à Montréal dans le ‘work experience program', avant d' avoir été engagée, l'école GEOS m'a offert des 'workshops' et j'en ai reçu des informations très importantes concernant les méthodes de travail, comme faire le CV et comme agir lors d' une entrevue ici au Canada. Encore une fois, je remercie toute l'équipe GEOS de m 'avoir aidé avec cette opportunité. Je suis très contente avec cette expérience et avec le temps que je passe à Montréal. Hello ! My name is Michelle. I started my work at Mc Donald 3 weeks ago and I am enjoying my work. As I am a cashier, I can practice my French and my English (in Montreal, you can practice both languages which is very appreciable). People, who I work with, are very nice and help me if I need it. We do our best to provide an excellent service to our customers and we have to give a productive and serious work. When I came to Montreal, I participated in the work experience program and I had to attend three workshops in which I received many important information concerning work methods. For example, methods like how to make a good CV, and how to act and behave during an interview in Canada. One more time, I would like to thank GEOS team for helping me with this opportunity. My name is Carla, I'm 25 year old, I'm Brazilian and I arrived in Montreal in February of 2009. I went to GEOS to study English from February to September and then do to my internship in marketing. GEOS got me an interview in June, I liked the company and then I started my part time internship at Nota Bene Gifts in August for 4 months. Nota Bene Gifts is a small greeting card company which uses paper from Nepal, Himalayas to do their high quality designer cards. In January of 2010. I got my work permit and I started to work part time for this company because I was studying French at GEOS at the same time. I've been working for them since January and nowadays I work directly with my clients, providing everything that they need and we are always looking for new challenges to make the company bigger.

I have already been at Geos, to improve my English, 6 years ago and this summer I decided to come back. Montreal is a great and nice city to study and almost perfect for young people who want to take a break from their usual life. The school is in the heart of Montreal and the staff and teachers are always willing to help you. Geos hosts people from all over the world and gives you the chance to get to know people from total different backgrounds. My time in Montreal was great and I really enjoyed Geos.

J'ai commencé au niveau débutant et après six mois d'études, je suis vraiment contente de pouvoir parler et de bien communiquer en français. Je dois tout remercier à l'équipe de GEOS! Les profs m'ont beaucoup aidé, en me donnant l'envie de pratiquer et de parler chaque fois plus la langue. Comme les profs, l'équipe administrative de l'école est vraiment sérieuse et, le plus important, très chaleureuse et amicale. Elle était toujours là quand j'en avais besoin. Hi, My name is Rayana, and I'm from Lebanon. I came to Montreal for 2 months to study English. I think Montreal is a great city, where you can find all nationalities, and I like this. Moreover, the GEOS personal is so friendly that you won't want to leave the school. Actually, GEOS is like a big family, teachers are really nice, and the courses are very interesting. I arrived in Montreal at April 22nd. The weather was cold for me, so I was wearing winter coat in SPRING!! However, when I visited downtown for the first time, I felt that I would be falling in love with this city, and I love Montreal now. In GEOS, I made a lot of friends. Spending time with them was really really fantastic. The teachers are interesting and helpful, and the friends are kind and fun!! I learnt English, also tones of things that I didn't know about all over the world. I am surprise that almost everyone can speak at least two languages in Montreal. Now I have an opportunity to learn French, so becoming trilingual is not a dream here!!

Acá tuve la oportunidad de conocer gente de todas partes del mundo lo cual se me hizo muy interesante, Montreal es una ciudad muy bella llena de festivales. Pues los invito si tienen la oportunidad de viajar de no perderse esta experiencia inolvidable eso si les recomiendo venir en verano!!! Avant d'être arrivée à Montreal j'avais peur de ce que j'aurais rencontrer dans un pays étranger ou la langue parlée n'était pas la mienne. Mais, de toute façon, j'étais sûre que cette expérience serait très importante pour mon futur. Quand je suis arrivée à GEOS, je ne pouvais pas dire un seul mot en français et maintenant, après 4 mois d'études je trouve que mon niveau est déjà bon. J'aime bien les classes, les professeurs, mes collègues et le staff. Je suis ravie d'avoir fait le bon choix.

I am Lorenzo. I come from the North of Italy. I am 25 years old. I arrived in Montreal iApril the 10th 2010 but my first day in Geos was April the 12th. I take a course in Geos for 9 weeks until June the 11th 2010. It's a very good academy to improve English because the staff is very friendly and kind with the students. The teachers have a very good preparation. This is my first experience in Geos academy…I am impressed with the behavior and the kindness of staff. The best thing of Geos is the different culture of its family. It's fantastic because you can keep in touch with many different cultures and people from everywhere. Geos is a big and multiethnic family. Geos organizes every Friday some activities for its student like bowling, billiards and other and so you can know the Geos company much better. Every Saturday you can take a trip with Geos for visiting Quebec City, Ottawa, Niagara's Falls, New York and other cities, there are as many as you want. It's very nice knowing the places and the habits of the country where you are.

J'aime Montréal, c'est une ville multiculturelle et magique. J'ai aimé l'hiver à Montréal à cause de toutes les activités à faire, je me suis amusée.
Geos pour moi est une bonne école. Je ne pouvais pas dire un mot en Français, je ne connaissais presque personne, et maintenant je parle avec tout le monde. La méthodologie est vraiment bonne. J'ai appris beaucoup avec tout le monde, parce que tous les étudiants, le staff et les professeurs sont très sympathiques.
Avec l'école, j'ai trouvé mon stage et maintenant je travaille dans le domaine que j'aime : le marketing.

If I have to describe my 3 months in GEOS in only one word, I will say UNIQUE! I went to Montreal to improve my English and I'm really satisfied! My name is Nathalie!! I come from France!! I am in Geos (in Montréal) in order to improve my English!! I chose Montréal because I wanted to discover this big country: Canada!!!! I don't regret my choice!! Indeed, Montréal is a very beautiful and dynamic city!!
First, it's possible to do a lot of things like to go to Museums, to « Vieux-Montréal », « Mont-Royal » or eat Quebec food in the sugaring off. It's very delicious!!!!!
Second, in Geos, the atmosphere is very pleasant!! During the class, teachers help a lot students to improve their english quickly!!!
Furthermore, Geos organizes a lot of activities like : cinema, bowling, painting ball,… and also, Geos organizes trips (during the week end) in Quebec, to see for example, the ice hotel,( it's very nice but it's very cold !!!!) and also, in Toronto to see Niagara Falls.
Moreover, it's possible thanks to Geos, to go to New York, Boston or Washington!!! It's great to discover also The Unites States!!!
When a student arrives at Geos and leaves, teachers say a praise about the student. It's very nice because people who work in Geos are close to Students.
It's very interesting to be in Geos because there are different nationalities. Indeed, there are people who come from Colombia, Russia, Morocco, France, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany… That's the reason why in Geos, people have an open mind!!!

Mon expérience à Montréal ne pourrait pas être mieux d'après moi.En effet avant mon arrivée, je n'avais aucune idée de la taille réelle du monde ... Et maintenant, je sais qu'il est beaucoup plus grand que je pensais et je suis sûr qu'il y a beaucoup plus de choses qui restent à apprendre.
La ville de Montréal est magnifique! J'ai tout aimé! Pour moi, c'était totalement différent de ce que je pensais et je l'ai apprécié. Il y a beaucoup d'endroits historiques à visiter, il y a des discos partout pour sortir le soir avec des amies. Les parcs sont très beaux dans n'importe quel quartier. La température peut, éventuellement, être un facteur qui dérange un peu, mais ça ne dure que quelques jours.
Le temps que j'ai passé à GEOS, j'apprenais tout le temps ! En étant toujours en contact avec d'autres étudiants de différentes parties du monde, vous apprenez très vite aussi bien au niveau culturel que linguistique.
Le Staff, c'était super bien, d'après moi, tout le monde travaille vraiment bien!

There is so many things to say…What should I start with?
First of all, Montreal is a great city you should visit. I was personally impressed by the diversity here. While you walk along the streets, it is very common to meet people from all over the world. GEOS reflects the same multiculturalism. I came in this school to improve my English, and in addition of that I've made friends I wouldn't met otherwise! The teachers and the staff are great as well. They always push you to give the best of yourself. I can really talk about the dynamics in the classes. If you think that you will find something totally annoying where the teacher is talking and the students are listening (or are sleeping I should say ?) you're completely wrong! Classes are amazing and there is a wonderful interaction between everybody. Coming to class and improving a new language has never been such a pleasure for me. I warmly encourage you to try this experience. You won't be disappointed.

Je m'appelle Vanessa et je viens d'Allemagne. Je vais rester sept semaines à Montréal pour améliorer mes connaissances des langues française et anglaise. En ce moment, j'ai fini mon cours de français (4 semaines avec le cours intensif) et je suis prête pour passer l'examen du DELF. Je veux le faire pour avoir un grand choix d'emploi en Allemagne et peut-être en France et en Suisse. Mais aussi la langue anglaise est très importante pour moi. Je vais faire un cours intensif d'anglais de trois semaines. L'école de langue GEOS me plait beaucoup. Depuis le début de mes études toutes les personnes ici sont très gentilles et serviables et on peut trouver une atmosphère très internationale. L'école se situe au centre-ville et comme ça on peut aller à l'extérieur pendant les pauses pour boire un café ou faire le magasinage. Si vous venez chez GEOS de Montréal, je vous propose de loger en famille d'accueil. C'est la meilleure façon pour parler la langue chaque jour! Et Montréal est une ville tellement intéressante et variée. Il y a aussi les autres curiosités comme Toronto, Québec, les chutes du Niagara ou New York qui offrent des possibilités pour s'amuser et faire de nouvelles expériences.

GEOS is been an amazing and a great experience for me. Been a student in the school have given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, improve my languages skills and enjoy the City of Montreal, which I sincerely recommend to anyone who wishes to learn a new language or improve their previous knowledge. The school counts with excellent teachers and super helpful and friendly staff. I have to say is a perfect place to study, for sure, you can notice the change on what you are doing in no time.

I've been studying English in Geos for four months which they were for me the best experience that I've ever had. I made many friends from Canada and other countries and I learned many things about their culture. I had no problem since I arrived in Montreal even I haven't been able speaking and understanding English at that time. I really appreciated what Geos afforded me throughout that time. The staff is attentive and kind. The teachers are the best because they have an incredible knowledge and willing to help me in what I have difficulty to learn. There are many activities in the city and the best thing is most of them are free. I had fun and learnt a lot.

When I decided to study at GEOS Montreal, all I wanted to do was improve my language skills and I didn't expect anything else. Now I am glad that I chose this school because I could learn a lot more than that. Not only could I meet many people from different countries and become friends here, I also met great staff and teachers. When I first started to study French at GEOS, I had almost zero knowledge of French and didn't even know how to answer when I was asked ‘Ça va?'. My French was that terrible. Now, thanks to my great teacher, I'm gradually getting able to say small things in French and of course, now I can answer with much confidence when someone asks me ‘Ça va?' even at a store. My French has been improving. Of course, my English has been really improving as well. At the beginning, I didn't have confidence in my English and often stayed silent in a class. But my teacher tries to give each student a chance to speak and doesn't forget to give good points and weak points that I should work on in a speech. That helped me to improve my speaking skills a lot. Now I know I speak much more, compared to the beginning, and see the difference in myself. I really enjoy each class here and I would like to say thank you to my wonderful teachers who make each class interesting and the staff who helps me and says hello every morning with a smile :)

Hello everyone. I arrived in Montreal in September 2009. For me it was very interesting to see the city of Montreal and learn the language. Geos is a place where it is always interesting, useful and where you can have lots of fun. In GEOS there is always a friendly atmosphere. The staff always helps you in a difficult and common situation. We will never be deprived of their attention. In GEOS you always will find friends. You can have an interesting entertainment at school: Halloween, Christmas and many other holidays in schools. Also weekdaysthere are interesting entertainments. In GEOS it's, never boring. In the classroom, there is a good friendly atmosphere in which you feel comfortable. Teachers help you if something is not clear for you. It is interesting to see how your English improves every day. I like this school, a lot of positive points in this school. I learn English, found new friends, learn the culture of other nationalities, and discover many beautiful places (Toronto, Niagara Falls, Quebec City).

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Irina. Je suis très contente d'avoir passé ici 6 mois. Quand je suis arrivée à Montréal, je ne pouvais pas dire un mot en Français, je ne connaissais presque personne. C'est ici, à l'école GEOS ou j'ai appris le Français, et rencontré mes premiers amis ainsi que beaucoup d'autres choses grâce à mes professeurs et les amis de ma classe. L'école GEOS: c'est une très bonne chance de passer le meilleurs temps, perfectionner la langue et connaître les autres cultures.

Je m appelle Marie Cometa, je suis colombienne, je suis arrivée le 10 décembre l'année dernière en 2008. Le premier jour, j'ai vraiment pensé que j'allais mourir, c'était un changement plus froid de 30 degrés et j'ai pensé que je ne pourrais pas survivre à ce pays.
Mais une fois à Geos, j'ai changé d'avis car c'est un école merveilleuse, à laquelle je voudrais dire merci beaucoup parce qu'elle m'a donné l'opportunité de connaître beaucoup d'amis et personnes du monde entier. Elle m'a aussi donne les meilleurs professeurs Mme Mamasita Fariba, Christelle et Scott. J'ai eu la meilleure mère d'accueil Lynda Cyr et le plus important j'ai pu faire ce que j'étais venue faire ici : pouvoir parler français et anglais, et par-dessus tout présenter mes examens de DELF et de TOEFL qui me serviront pour mon parcours universitaire.

I was asked to write a testimonial talking about GEOS Language Academy (Montreal). I accepted but I want to explain it in my special way.
Let's start with the city. Montreal, one amazing city!! Here you can walk safely on the street. If you love cars, you can see Ferraris, Porches and others nice cars passing on the Downtown streets. If you like to workout, you can pay about 60 CAD for 3 months in the amazing Concordia University Gym. If you are into the nightlife, there are a lot of clubs, pubs and other activities you can do at night. If you want to get to know other cultures, you can just sit in front of the Tim Horton's on the corner of Guy & Maisonneuve and you will hear many different languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Indian, Chinese, Korean, and etc.) I can also say the same about the gym as I meet someone from a different country every time I train.
Now, I will talk about GEOS Language Academy (Montreal). I came here to learn English and French... ... ... ... Of course! This is the reason why people come to study at this school!!!!

Ok, let's talk about the Staff in alphabetic order:
-Audrey Malgras-Serra: She is really pretty and smart, always helps you when you need anything and when she doesn't know the answer, she looks for it and gives you feedback. She has a soft French way to talk with you.
-Billy Barbier: This man is very very nice and really smart; always asking about your news. If you have any kind of problem he is really helpful. Every thing you need to know about the courses, Montreal or Canada he will help you. If he doesn't know the answer to a question, he looks for the answer and let's you know.
-Meehye Seong: She has the face of an ingenuous Korean girl, but she is very decided and firm. If you need any help related to your academic improvement, she is the person you need to see. She is very helpful and when the time is right to change levels, she will help you.
-Sayaka Sakakibara: She is very charming with a soft voice. She always tries to solve all the problems that students may have about homestay or gives advice on how to negotiate a contract with a real estate agent if you want to rent an apartment or a house.
-Uri Carnat: He is the man!! I met him 2 months before I came to Montreal on Skype. I had with some problems with my travel agency in Brazil and he helped me speed my process to come to Montreal. My name is Maher Hassanain from Saudi Arabia, I came all the way from my country to Canada, Montreal, Geos Montreal college.
In the beginning, before coming to this college, I was like, I am going to Geos to learn English, and I am not sure if I am going to improve my English so much. And my plans were, home then college. (boring). That's how I thought it would be in the beginning. Now after 2 months and a half in this college, I can assure that I have improved all my skills much more than expected.
Now, my English is good thanks to Geos and I also have a lot of friends around the world, I learnt about their cultures, their way of living, and about their language. The friends I met here in Geos are all friendly, helpful, respectful. At my first day in Montreal I was worried about how things are going to be and I was worried about everything. But I can say that I became happy since my first day at GEOS.
The Geos teachers are the best English teachers I have seen. I went to many colleges , and I think that this one is the best. If my friends ask me about the best college I have ever been to, it is definitely going to be this college. And also this college helped me to enjoy my time in Montréal with all the festivals, the fire works... etc. And if I am going to recommend this college to people, this is going to be the number one college, you will never know what I mean until other students see it by themselves. Also all GEOS staff members never say no when I ask some questions, they are always supporting students, and I can say that this college is unique!
Furthermore, my friends, whom I met from Geos are all helpful, they made me not just enjoy my stay and then forget it, no! They made me happy, and now we are friends for now and ever, the friends I met here are going to be my friends to the end. Maybe this is the 5th English college, but it is actually the best, I got more information then the others combined. And I will never forget this college. And I will try to come here next week and maybe start other language after this college helped me pass my TOEFL! Je suis tunisien. Je suis étudiant en comptabilité à HEC Montreal. J'ai passé presque sept mois dans cette ville et j'ai affronté l'hiver. Je suis tombé deux ou trois fois par terre à cause de la glace. J'aime Montreal. C'est une ville multiculturelle. Il a de belles choses à voir. Personnellement, j'admire la vue de la ville au sommet de la montagne de Mont-Royal. Concernant GEOS, j'ai étudié l'anglais. J'ai aimé la méthode pédagogique enseignée dans l'école. Les étudiants apprennent la langue en parlant correctement. Sincèrement, tout le monde (le personnel, les professeurs, les étudiants) est sympathique dans cette école. Je reviendrai.

J`étudie à GEOS, ça fait maintenant six mois. Mon premier jour était vraiment difficile et inaccoutumé. Je ne parlais pas beaucoup anglais, ni français. J`ai commencé par étudier l`anglais. Au début, c'était très difficile pour moi à comprendre, mais avec l`aide de mon professeur, j`ai réussi à comprendre et à bien parler. C`était la même chose pour le cours de français. Maintenant, je comprends bien le français. Il suffit de faire un petit effort. Les professeurs et le personnel sont très gentils et très serviables. J`ai beaucoup aimé la diversité culturelle dans cette école et les activités programmées.Montréal est aussi une ville très intéressante. Il y a beaucoup de musées, de parcs, de festivals, de restaurants et autres choses intéressantes, et pour tous les goûts. I studied very hard and after six week I went to next level changing teachers and continuing to improve my English. Donc, j'ai le temps de pratiquer. Les gens à GEOS sont gentils. Les employés de GEOS sont gentils aussi et serviables. Montréal est très différent par rapport à ma patrie. La ville est un peu sale et dans un autobus ou un métro il n'y a pas assez de places assises. Mais Montréal est une belle ville aussi. J'aime bien les vieilles maisons et les parcs. Le musée des Beaux-Arts est très intéressant et gratuit. C'est super! Maintenant le temps ce n'est pas très beau mais on m'a dit que le temps va changer. Amusez vous ici!

I only had two weeks available to study and I wanted to improve my very rusty French. The intensive course at GEOS was a good fit. The staff here are very welcoming and friendly. They were quite helpful setting me up in a residence that was an easy 10 minute walk from the school. I took the intensive course and it was a good way to spend the little time I had really focusing on French. There is no way to learn a language completely in just 2 weeks but it provided a strong base to go out and practice talking with people. I appreciated the fact that GEOS had several levels of French classes at the same time and students were able to freely move up or down a level to suit their ability. I also found the interactions with other students fun. Montreal is also a great city to explore! I would recommend the intensive program to folks who only have a short time to brush up on their skills!

I spend 3 months at GEOS Montreal. I learned French here. It was difficult and sometimes frustrating but it was worth it. I met great people from all over the world and I had a lot of fun. Montreal is a great city with a wonderful & long winter. I won't forget this time!

The month I've spent at GEOS has been great, I've enjoyed every minute of it. The teachers have such enthusiasm for languages that it makes the learning process so much more enjoyable and slightly less difficult! The activities are always engaging, with a good balance between the 4 areas of learning & a great variety of exercises. With such a diversity of people from all over the world studying at the school, class discussions were always extremely interesting, I've made some great friends.

When I came to Montreal I had English knowledge, but I couldn't use it very well. I was afraid of the new life situations and it was frustrating. I have been studying at GEOS for two months and I feel much better thanks to GEOS staff. My teachers are patient and always teach with joy. Every day, when I go to school I learn something new about Canada, the language or my classmates. This is a good way to practice because we talk with each other before, after and during the class. If I have any questions, I can go to my teacher, who helps and replies with enthusiasm, I'm sure I will learn more in the net two months.
If you would like to study English or French, I can recommend GEOS, because you can find a nice atmosphere with kind people.

It has been five months since I joined GEOS. I was so happy to achieve the required TOFEL score that I needed to be accepted to university after three months of English classes. In addition, I have been studying French for about one month, starting with zero background, and now my family and friends couldn't believe how fast I learned to introduce myself and ask questions in French.
I believe that, the small amount of students in each class, the strong interaction between teachers and students, the extra friendly and helpful staff, and the location of this school, make it very easy and comfortable for students to study and meet new friends.
I still have four months in French class to go but I miss GEOS already!

Montreal is a cosmopolitan city with many festivals in each season. It's a nice city and a great city in which to study second or third languages.
At GEOS Montreal, I have been studying for 24weeks. I think my English is getting better. There are many good teachers. I like the atmosphere and the style of teaching of each teacher. It feels comfortable to participate in class.
Let's say, if you want to study English or French (or even Spanish which you can learn from your friends) I recommend GEOS Montreal.

I just want to thank GEOS Montreal. That school helps everybody to learn the language he wants. There is English, French and even Japanese can be studied. I've decided to learn French here. But learning at GEOS Montreal is not like learning at a normal school. Here you can experience a lot of new and interesting things. The stuff is a bit crazy but that's a perfect start to a funny lesson. You don't even have to travel the world to get to know different cultures! I met so many people like Japanese, Columbians, Austrians, Mexicans, Germans, Finish and Chinese. This helps me to open my mind to unknown nationalities. I'm really enjoying my time here. I don't even want to leave anymore. It's not only the great atmosphere at school but also the wonderful city that impresses me. I, a small Austrian girl, don't know such big cities like Montreal. But even in case you don't like large and loud cities this is a good place for you. Montreal counts some thousands of people but luckily it has its quiet and green places. It is a city for all kinds of interests. I can only recommend to everybody to visit GEOS in Montreal.

When I came to GEOS, staffs were glad to see me. They are kind and sweet. GEOS has a good system. At first, teachers have good skill. When you have a question, you can always ask them. Additionally, they make you understand perfectly. At second, lots of activities happen. Niagara Falls tour, Quebec city and Ottawa tour, climbing mountain, playing soccer and watching movies, etc. at third, GEOS has a good atmosphere. You may be a foreigner and you may live alone or Homestay. So, then people who is around you is more important. People who are students, teachers and staffs are thoughtful and kind. You must feel like home.
So if I chose schools one more time, I absolutely would select GEOS.

I have stayed with a family since I came to Montreal approx. 2 weeks ago. The family is from Italy originally. They speak not only Italian but also English and French.

When father of the family has free, he tells me many things. For instance, he tells me about history of Montreal, religion, and so on. It is very useful for me to hear a lot of English. if he tell me some words which I don't know, he explains about the words in detail if I ask about them.

Mother of the family is so kind and cheerfully that it is so easy for me to talk with her. Also she takes good care of me, then I am helped by her.

While living abroad, one of disturbing matters is a meal.
In my case, supper is almost Italian food.
The supper is delicious.
If I want to eat the food in japan, I have to go to Italian restaurant, and I can't go to the restaurant everyday. I mean, I am so lucky.

There is one spanish guy, who stay with the family, except me. When we are at supper, we talk in English with eating. The talk is very good practice for me. However, his english skill is better than me, then I almost hear his talk.

I have just started my home-stay life.
Sometimes I am anxious for the life because of my inexperience. But I think that having fun in Montreal now is very helpful of the family.

Montreal is a charming and elegant city in which many different cultures join and become one. Just by living in it you get a new perspective of the world around you and a better understanding of your own culture. GEOS has also been an important part of my experience here. I've learned a lot, not only from my amazing teachers but also from my classmates. I've made a lot of friends, and even though I haven't been here long, my English has improved so much. Bonjour, hi, my name is Sung Kook Park. I'm from South Korea. I am at GEOS Montreal to learn English and French. While studying at GEOS Montreal, I was able not only to learn communication skills, grammar, listening comprehension etc, but also find out some interesting cultural tips from different countries.

This kind of experience is very interesting and special for me. Hadn't I come to Montreal, I would not have experienced it at all.

In addition to these, the school activities are also full of fun. I went on a picnic in Mont-Royal park with my classmates and I went Ottawa and Quebec city among others.

It is the nicest and most tremendous experience that I've ever had.

J'ai rencontré beaucoup de personnes intéressantes de différents pays comme de la Colombie, de la Russie, de l'Australie, de l'Italie, de la France, de l'Allemagne, de l'Espagne et du Zimbabwe. Montréal est une ville tres agréable et multiculturelle et il y a beaucoup de lieux à visiter comme le musée des Beaux-Arts, le Festival FrancoFolies, le concours de feux d'artifice.

I totally remember when I arrived in Montreal. Everything was covered with snow and it was taller than me. 27th Feb. 2008 11pm. Finally I'm in Montreal.

I prepared pretty long time for come to Canada, except study English, so first time Montreal wasn't special until I visited school. I don't know Uri remember that we met first, but I did. Uri, Billy and one lady, maybe Sayaka, were receive me with warm hands. I heard many thing about Canada before I come to here, so I had a prejudice, but it was fade away. They were hospitable to me who is "exit" is more familiar than "sortie."

My Montreal and GEOS life have started with GEOS people. My teachers - Matt, Amit and Lotoya who is a new and other teachers. They already know about my problems. So everytime correcting and trying until I'll have correct answer. And staffs - Uri, Billy, Marcus, Sayaka and Yasu have many information that I want. So they always give me a new information or search.

I'm satisfied with GEOS and Montreal except classroom is little bit hot. Every GEOS people are good friends everytime.

I arrived here a month ago,and I have been studying at GEOS for 3 weeks.
My classmates are Korean, Japanese, Mexcan, Turkish, Czech and Taiwanese.
My classmates and teachers are really friendly, funny and like to joke!
So, GEOS students and teachers are always laughing.

I study English at the morning lesson for 2 hours, then I eat lunch for an hour. After that I have another lesson for 2 hours.
The lunch time is so much fun!! My classmates and students from other classes eat lunch at the sametime everyday. It's easy to make new friends here!

Montreal is really multinational. When I got on the train for the first time, I was so surprised!
There were people from many countrys living here. I had never seen that sight before.

I was also surprised about the achitecture in montreal. The apartments, houses, buldings and churchs are really beautiful. I enjoy that view all the time.

I don't have enough time everyday. I have a lot of things I have to do and want to do in montreal.

English is very difficult, So I get depressed sometimes. But, My friends, GEOS's teachers and host family support me. So,I always have a feeling of gratitude and like everyone at GEOS!!

For me, it has been a unique opportunity to meet new people, but more than this, to feel the atmosphere and the cultural diversity. I am staying with a host family and it has been a pleasure for me to be in touch with a Canadian family. every day, it has been a new adventure. I and my friends enjoy walking around the city to "discover" monuments, museums, art galleries, and so on. We have coffee at the cafeteria to try the typical food from Canada. We are really having a good time here and for sure we will have very good things to tell our families in Brazil. For sure we will miss Canada a lot.

Studying at GEOS Montreal will be recorded in my memories because I met both, great friends from many countries and professional people from GEOS. Besides, the environment was very good and made everybody feel comfortable and relaxed. It was two wonderful months of unforgettable experiences with unforgettable people, which made my trip worth it, all this together with my english improvement in lively classes. I'm sure that in the future I will come back to Montreal and to GEOS, but then to learn French. That's why I want to thank GEOS for everything you have done for me and tell you... See you soon! ... I'll be back.

I just wanted to pass along again how much I enjoyed the educational experience last week at the GEOS Montreal Academy. The school truly lives up to its motto of a professional appearance with a fun attitude. I'm already looking at next year's December calendar to plan for next year's trip. We are from Mexico and we have been here for 4 months.
4 awesome months in which we have had a great experience. Here, you can learn a lot about different cultures because as you already know, Montreal is a multicultural city.
Our experience in GEOS Montreal has been really nice because here we have the opportunity to have fun while we learn languages; the fact that it's a language school doesn't mean that it has to be boring.
We also have had the pleasure to know a lot of nice people, the students and GEOS staff as well.
We can summarize that Montreal and GEOS have been the perfect combination to enjoy our stay here.

Hello, my name is Tina. I am 24 years old and I am from Germany. I stayed in Montreal for four weeks in a host family. I studied english. GEOS choose a very nice host family for me. So I could practice my english which I have learned at school everyday. The GEOS team was great and warm. Whenever I have problems, I can ask them and they will help me. I feel I am welcomed. The teachers used different kinds of teaching methods, like listening, conversation, presentation, work in teams, movies and others. Therefore, the learning result is very good. GEOS had also a big offer on activities after school everyday in the week and especially on Friday. I had the chance to get to know Montréal with a big group of students. I was also on a daytrip to Ottawa. It was a well organized trip. I got to know the capital city of Canada. It was a very good day. I had a great time in Montréal. I had the chance to meet people from different countries and different cultures. I made a lot of new friends. I will never forget this time.

I've been attending GEOS for 4 weeks and it's been a good experience; I've improved my French in every skill. The teachers are nice and so are the people who work here. Also, it's a nice place to meet people from all over the world!

As The school always has lots of activities in summer and in winter. You can visit most wondrefull city in Canada. Because Montreal is the best place to live and study two different languages. In here, people speak english and French. If you want to learn French, GEOS has French course too. Actually, There are lots of different kind of course programmes in GEOS. Hi, My name is Lina Laguna and I'm from Colombia , I am studying in GEOS Montreal and I can tell that it is one of the most exciting and incredible experience I never have. The school has excellent teachers that make you funny the experience of learn a foreign language. Montreal is an amassing city and all days you have an activity to enjoy. Located in downtown give you the opportunity to enjoy the Canadian culture and improve the english or the French, you have both alternatives taking into account that this is one of the cities in Canada that almost everyone speak both languages. I will never forget all the friends I have made from all over the world and all the things I have learn about their cultures!!!!

GEOS is an awesome school where you can learn not only the French language, but also it is a place where you can meet people from different countries and learn about their cultures.
I have made a lot of new friends and everyday I enjoy new experiences with them.

After a few classes, I realized that I became more fluent than ever in French. With its friendly environment, management and teachers, Geos has always been my number one choice when it comes to learn a foreign language.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the great help and support you have been. My daughter Liza had a great time and enjoyed the classes. At first, I was afraid about my trip, however, after arriving in Montreal I was glad about GEOS and I have enjoyed a lot since last July.... Another aspect is that you meet so many friends that will stay part of your life forever.

I have studied english in GEOS 3 summers. When I started my english education in GEOS I was really bad at english. Actually I was satisfied so much that I'm making my parents send my sister too. I'd say GEOS is number one
