Intensive French Course - 30 lessons/week (22.5 hours/week)

 

Take an intensive French course or super intensive French course at our Montreal language school for 30 lessons/week (equal to 22.5 hours/week). Our experienced and attentive French instructors use creative and helpful learning tools to guide you toward fluency in French. With 14 students per class, students have plenty of opportunity both to practice their French and meet interesting new friends from around the world.

    Intensive French Class Features:

  • Creative learning activities
  • Four skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing
  • Small classes: Maximum of 14 students per class
  • Professional, experienced, native French speaking instructors.
  • Enrollment every week (for non-beginner French students).

There are six different levels of study, from beginner French through advanced French - a free placement test helps find the best French level for each student. At the end of each four-week session, students receive a written evaluation and have a one-on-one with their French teacher. After each three month semester, and / or at the end of a contract, students receive a report card and the school awards a GEOS certificate at the end of the French course, as long as students have successfully completed all assignments and attended no less than 80% of their French classes.

GEOS uses the Communicative Language Teaching method. New grammar patterns are learned in the context of a conversation or an article. Students use activities (such as role plays and discussions) to practice French. Practical reading and writing tasks, and vocabulary studies are presented as well.

PRONUNCIATION.  FLUENCY.  LISTENING.  SPEAKING.
Students cover a variety of topics while practicing French conversation management, conversation styles, and pronunciation. Students learn commonly used idioms and slang in a communicative way. Students use various activities (such as listening tasks and role plays) to practice these new idioms.
