Description of Activities

Activity 1:  Crescent / St-Laurent Street Fair

This is the BIGGEST weekend in all of Montreal - The Formula 1 Grand Prix Weekend!!  These 2 major streets are closed to traffic, and pedestrians are able to wander and enjoy the outdoor terraces and tantalizing food stands set up all along the street.  Meet at GEOS at 4:00pm, and don't forget to try out the many free samples!!

Activity 2:  GEOS Bowling

This week we will be going to Sharx - a local bowling and pool hall.  The teachers have issued a special challenge:  Any student that can beat a teacher in a game of bowling will win a special prize!  After bowling, we'll probably shoot a few games of pool and relax after a long and exciting week.

Activity 3:  GEOS Happy Hour

Don't forget to come to the GEOS Happy Hour to celebrate the end of session this week.  Last session, we went to a famous Montreal terrace, and played pool and fuseball until we dropped.  It was a good old international party.  Don't forget to bring your camera, and look your best!

Activity 4:  Montreal Jazz Festival

If you haven't already been to the Montreal Jazz Festival, NOW is the time.  This is without a doubt the best of all the many Montreal festivals, and it should not be missed at any cost.  Free concerts line the street and 1000s of people come out to this ultra-exciting event.  GEOS will be there in numbers.  Meet us at GEOS at 4:00pm.

Activity 5:  Canada Day in Ottawa

Every year for Canada Day, over 500,000 flood the streets in Ottawa to enjoy the day long free concerts, and of course the super fireworks show given at the end.  Naturally, GEOS Montreal will make the track down to Ottawa, and celebrate Canada's 141st birthday.  For more information, see Marcus at GEOS Montreal.

Activity 6:  GEOS Movie Night

Starting this month, we will be having a GEOS Montreal Movie Night every Monday!  Meet at GEOS at 5:30pm, and watch a movie for free with your friends on our brand-new 37 inch TV monster!  This month, we have already watched Indiana Jones:  Raiders of the Lost Ark - arguably the greatest movie of all-time.  Come and get free snacks and popcorn, and kick back and relax.
