Course Description

The TESL program is made up of two courses:
1. TESL - Foundation Course (60 hours - 5 weeks)
2. TEYL - Young Learners Course (40 hours - 3 weeks)

The TESL Foundation Course may be taken on its own as a single course.  However, to take the TEYL Young Learners Class, students must first complete the TESL Foundation Course.

The TESL Foundation Course is a teacher-training program designed to provide students with the necessary skills and confidence to teach and tutor English as a second language. Students participate in 10 hours of real lesson planning, class observation and teaching. Further, there is a free activity club available for all students, who also run weekly conversation sessions in the school.

The TEYL Young Learners Course is an exciting opportunity to learn how to prepare for and teach lessons to children. The course includes both interesting classroom instruction and real lesson practice. Students who complete the course will be confident in knowing how to prepare for lessons, manage a classroom, and teach and tutor children.
